Press Release

Keith de Lellis Gallery is pleased to present "20th Century Film Stills: Hollywood & Beyond", an exhibition of original vintage photographs spanning decades of cinema, from Hollywood's golden age through the countercultural provocations of the 1970s and beyond.

These are the photographs that actually circulated when the films were released: press stills, unit photographs, and wire service prints documenting some of the most iconic moments in film history. Mae West surrounded by suitors. Janet Leigh with stolen cash. Dustin Hoffman framed through Mrs. Robinson's leg. Jack Nicholson splitting through a door. Alongside them, less familiar gems like Anita Ekberg mobbed by paparazzi on a Fellini set and Divine's cracked-makeup close-up from John Waters' Baltimore underground.
